Bengal: 10 IAS Transferred, R Arjun Gets Mega Charge Of Tourism

2010 batch IAS officer R Arjun posted as MD – West Bengal Tourism Development Corporation Limited with additional charge of Director- Tourism.

The Mamata Banerjee government in West Bengal transferred 10 IAS officers across the state. A 2010 batch IAS R Arjun was made MD – West Bengal Tourism Development Corporation Limited with additional charge of Director Tourism. He was earlier senior special secretary of Tribal Development Department.

1989 batch IAS officer Anil Verma has been posted as ACS – Agriculture Marketing Department. He was presently serving as Chairman- West Bengal Valuation Board.

Another 2010 batch IAS officer Ritendra Narayan Basu Roy Choudhury was named as Director – Small Savings. R. Arjun replaced him in WBTDC and tourism department.

Avadh Singhal, a 2020 batch IAS officer who is presently OSD & Urban Development and Municipal Affairs Department, has been posted as SDO Kurseong, Darjeeling, West Bengal.

2020 batch IAS officer Raunak Agarwal who is presently OSD- Finance Department, posted as SDO – Ranaghat, Nadia. While 2010 batch IAS officer Dr. Haaris Rasheed IAS (posted as ADM – Dakshin Dinajpur. He was presently SDO – Ranaghat, Nadia.

IAS officer Ezaz Ahmed IAS was posted as ADM – Nadia. He is 2018 batch officer whom Avadh Singhal replaced.

Dr. Vijay Bharti IAS (2005) presently Commissioner – Burdwan Division (in the rank of Secretary to the State Govt) posted as CEO – Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority, Niranjan Kumar IAS ( 2007) presently Secretary- KMDA, West Bengal posted as Registrar – Co-operative Societies , West Bengal.

While Devi Prasad Karnam IAS (2008) presently MD- WB Essential Commodities Supply Corporation Ltd, Senior Spl. Secretary, Food and Supplies Department., West Bengal posted as Senior Special Secretary – Finance Department, West Bengal.
