After relieving the previous DC of Hyderabad Shweta Mohanti, who had applied to the government for permission to study Public Administration at Harvard University in the United States, IAS officer L Sharman was appointed as the new Collector of Hyderabad.
Sharman, a 2005 IAS batch, was serving as the District Collector of Nagar Kurnool before getting transferred to Hyderabad.
Shweta Mohanti was also the Collector in charge of Medchal, Malkajgiri District, and has also been relieved of her duties.
