IAS Officer Anirudh Tiwari Appointed as Punjab Chief Secretary

In addition, Mr. Anirudh Tiwari will also hold the additional charge of Principal Secretary, Department of Personnel and Vigilance.

On Thursday, the Department of Personnel issued official order regarding the appointment of six IAS officers to the post of Special Chief Secretary.

This includes 1990 batch IAS officer Mr. Anirudh Tiwari who has been appointed as the Chief Secretary to the Punjab Government. In addition, he will hold the additional charge as Principal Secretary, Department of Personnel and Vigilance in place of Ms. Vini Mahajan. He will also hold the additional charge as Financial Commissioner, Development, Additional Chief Secretary, Food Processing, Additional Chief Secretary, Horticulture and Additional Chief  Secretary, Governance Reforms and Public Grievances.

Besides this, the order also states that six senior IAS officers have been appointed as Special Chief Secretary to the Government of Punjab. The names of the following officers are as follows – Mrs. Vini Mahajan (1987 batch IAS officer), Ravneet Kaur (1988 batch IAS officer), Mr. Sanjay Kumar (1988 batch IAS officer), Mr. Vijay Kumar Janjua (1989 batch IAS officer), and Mr. Kripa Shankar Saroj (1989 batch IAS officer).
