In a major transfer order issued by the Gujarat government on 19 June, 77 IAS officers have been transferred and posted in various capacities across the state.
Anju Sharma, a 1991-batch officer and principal secretary, education department (higher and technical education), who has been appointed as head of the labour and employment department, is among the senior most IAS officials who will be transferred. Sharma will replace HR Patel, who had taken over the department 10 days ago when the government transferred 26 senior IAS officers on June 9.
