Major Reshuffle In Bihar, 16 IAS Officers Transferred, KK Pathak Made ACS of Education Department

1991 batch IAS officer and Additional Chief Secretary, Health Department, Mr Pratyay Amrit has also been given the charge of Additional Chief Secretary, Disaster Management Department.

In a big administrative reshuffle in Bihar, Nitish Kumar led government has transferred 16 IAS officers and given them new posting on 7th of May. The responsibilities of 16 IAS officers including Chaitanya Prasad, Pratyay Amrit, Harjot Kaur, Bandana Preyasi have been changed.

A 1990 batch IAS officer Chaitanya Prasad who is Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department, has been made Additional Chief Secretary, Water Resources Department, Patna. Chaitanya Prasad will be in additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary of Minor Water Resources Department. He has been relieved of the additional charge of Vigilance Department.

KK Pathak, a 1990 batch IAS officer who is currently looking after the responsibility of Additional Chief Secretary of Prohibition, Excise and Registration Department, has been made Additional Chief Secretary of Education Department. Pathak was also in additional charge of Director General of Bihar Institute of Public Administration and Rural Development. This charge will remain with him.

1991 batch IAS officer and Additional Chief Secretary, Health Department, Mr Pratyay Amrit has also been given the charge of Additional Chief Secretary, Disaster Management Department.

Dr. S. Siddhartha, a 1991 batch IAS officer, has been withdrawn as Additional Chief Secretary, Finance Department and has been given the same responsibility in the Home Department. Dr. Siddharth will continue to have the responsibility of Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister (Chief Minister’s Secretariat) and Additional Chief Secretary of the Cabinet Secretariat Department as before.

Additional Chief Secretary, Education Department and 1992 batch IAS officer Deepak Kumar Singh has been made Additional Chief Secretary, Cooperative Department.

Harjot Kaur Bamhra, a 1992 batch IAS officer, till now working as Additional Chief Secretary-cum-Mines Commissioner in the Department of Mines and Geology, has been appointed as Managing Director, Bihar State Mineral Development Corporation Limited, Managing Director, Bihar State Mining Corporation Limited. She was also looking after the responsibility, she has now been given the responsibility of Additional Chief Secretary of Art, Culture and Youth Department. His posts related to the Mines Department will no longer be there. She will also be relieved of the additional charge of Bihar State Women and Child Development Corporation, Patna. Harjot Kaur will continue in the additional charge of Managing Director of Bihar State Film Development and Finance Corporation, Patna.

Parmar Ravi Manu Bhai, a 1992 batch IAS officer who was till now Additional Chief Secretary, Minor Water Resources Department, has now been given the responsibility of Mines Department, vacated by Harjot Kaur. Parmar Ravi Manu Bhai, Additional Chief Secretary-cum-Mining Commissioner of Mines and Geology Department, will also hold the additional charge of Managing Director of Bihar State Mineral Development Corporation Limited and Managing Director of Bihar State Mining Corporation Limited. Arvind Kumar Choudhary, a 1995 batch IAS officer who was looking after the role of Principal Secretary, Department of Environment, Forest and Climate Change besides Principal Secretary, Labor Resources Department, has now been transferred as Principal Secretary, Finance Department. Arvind Chaudhary will continue to have the responsibility of Principal Secretary Monitoring Department, Controller of Examination Bihar State Joint Entrance Examination Council and Investigation Commissioner General Administration Department.

Vijayalakshmi N, a 1995 batch IAS officer, was back from central deputation and awaiting posting. He has been made Principal Secretary, Animal and Fisheries Resources Department. Dr B Rajender, a 1995 batch IAS officer, has been given the additional role of Principal Secretary, Labor Resources Department. He is already working as the Principal Secretary of General Administration Department besides the Principal Secretary of Public Grievance General Administration Department and Mission Director of Bihar Administrative Reforms Mission Society.

N Saravan Kumar, a 2000 batch IAS officer, has been given the responsibility of Secretary, Rural Development Department. Along with this, he will also be in the role of Chairman of Bihar Technical Service Commission and Investigation Commissioner of General Administration Department. Sanjay Kumar Agarwal, a 2002 batch IAS officer, was currently looking after the role of Secretary, Disaster Management Department besides Secretary, Water Resources Department. He has been made the Secretary of the Agriculture Department. He will continue to hold the additional role of secretary, transport department, and inquiry commissioner, general administration department. He has been relieved of the role of Secretary, Disaster Management Department.

Bandana Preyasi, a 2003-batch IAS officer, has been given the role of Secretary, Environment, Forest and Climate Change, while being removed from the role of Secretary, Cooperation Department. Preyasi was also in the additional role of Secretary in Art Culture and Youth Department, Managing Director in Bihar State Film Development and Finance Corporation Patna and Investigation Commissioner of General Administration Department. The role of Bihar State Film Development and Finance Corporation has been withdrawn from him, the rest of the responsibility has been retained with him.

Prohibition Products and Alcohol Prohibition Products to 2007 batch IAS officer Vinod Singh Gunjiyal, who is looking after the responsibility of the Director General and Additional Director General of Bihar State Beverages Corporation Limited, while playing the role of Secretary in the Prohibition Products and Registration Department Patna And Registration Department has been given all the responsibility of Bihar.

Dr Ashima Jain, a 2008 batch IAS officer, who was awaiting posting after returning from central deputation, has been given the responsibility of Special Secretary, Minor Water Resources Department. 2018 batch IAS officer Pratibha Rani, who was awaiting posting after returning from maternity leave, has been given the responsibility of Deputy Development Commissioner, Darbhanga till further orders.
