Amidst the Municipal Corporation elections in Delhi, the Lieutenant Governor has transferred the Special Officer from MCD. The names of three IAS officers transferred by the Lieutenant Governor include Ashchini Kumar, Madhup Vyas and Niharika Rai.
Ashwini Kumar, a 1992 batch IAS officer, has been made the Home Secretary by the Lieutenant Governor. Ashwini Kumar will continue to hold the responsibility till the election of the new mayor. Apart from this, the names of Madhup Vyas of the 2000 batch, Niharika Rai of 2005 batch are included in the transferred officers.
