Mr. Ajay Kumar Bhalla has been given the Additional Charge of Secretary, Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT). He is a 1984 batch IAS officer from the Assam-Meghalaya cadre.
The official notification regarding his appointment was released by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) on Tuesday.
The notification said: “The Competent Authority has approved the assignment of the Additional Charge of Secretary, Department of Personnel & Training to Ajay Kumar Bhalla, Union Home Secretary with immediate effect and till the appointment of a regular incumbent or until further orders, whichever is earlier”.
