In a major bureaucratic reshuffle, the Yogi Adityanath government has transferred 4 IAS officers including UPPCL (Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited) chairman M Devraj, an IAS of 1996 batch.
1995 batch IAS officer Ashish Kumar Goyal has now been appointed as the new chairman of UPPCL. Ashish Goyal has just returned from central deputation after a stint at the Centre.
While, Mr Devraj has now been made the Principal Secretary of the Technical Education Department. It is worth mentioning here that for a long time he was demanding transfer.
1990 batch IAS officer Kalpana Awasthi, who was Principal Secretary Technical Education, has been eased out and sent to UPAAM (U. P. Academy of Administration & Management) as Director General.
Anil Sagar, an IAS officer of 1998 batch and Principal Secretary Industrial Development, has been given the additional charge of IT and electronics.
While Principal Secretary Industrial Development and 1992 batch IAS officer Narendra Bhushan has been kept in waiting.
The state government has also given its consent for VRS to be given to 2003 batch IAS officer of UP cadre, Rigzian Sanfil. An upright officer, who had sought voluntary retirement sometime back, he is presently working as Resident Commissioner in New Delhi.
