In a major reshuffle in bureaucracy before the municipal election, Yogi Adityanath led Uttar Pradesh government has transferred and posted 13 IAS officers of the level of Special Secretary. These include three waiting officers too. Earlier, the government had transferred 11 IPS officers, including Senior Superintendent of Police and Superintendent of Police of 5 districts.
Special Secretary Revenue Mahendra Singh has been made Special Secretary Home. While Special Secretary Food Safety and Drug Administration Renu Tiwari has been posted as Additional Commissioner Rural Development and Additional Commissioner MNREGA.
Managing Director UP Agro Shesh Nath will now hold the responsibility of Special Secretary Sugar Industry and Sugarcane Development.
Special Secretary Secretariat Administration Arun Prakash has been posted as Special Secretary MSME and has been given additional charge of Chief Executive Officer Khadi Village Industries Board. Additional Commissioner MNREGA Yogesh Kumar has been sent to the post of Special Secretary Agriculture Production Commissioner Branch.
Similarly, three waiting IAS officers TK Shibu has been made Additional Land Management Commissioner, Revenue Council, Sunil Verma has been made Special Secretary Agriculture Production Commissioner Branch and Anurag Patel has been made Special Secretary Revenue and Additional Commissioner Consolidation.
Additional Chief Secretary of Labor Department Suresh Chandra has sought VRS from the state government. Suresh Chandra, an IAS officer of the year 1989 batch, has been selected for the post of Vice-Chairman in the State Public Service Tribunal. He has to take charge there next month. So he has applied for VRS. Suresh Chandra’s retirement is to happen in January 2023. He told that he has to join the State Public Service Tribunal, so he has applied for VRS. Earlier, three IAS officers of Uttar Pradesh cadre Renuka Kumar, Juthika Patankar and Vikas Gothalwal have also taken VRS.
