The board of Invest India has appointed 2000 batch IAS officer Manmeet K Nanda as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the investment promotion and facilitation body under the Department of Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT).
Mr. Nanda, who was currently serving as Joint Secretary in the DPIIT, has succeeded Deepak Bagla, who resigned from the post last week citing personal reasons.
The Commerce Ministry issued a statement on Tuesday regarding the appointment of Nanda as the MD and CEO after it was approved by the board in a meeting held on Monday.
