1989 batch senior IPS officer Vikas Sahay has been appointed in-charge Director General of Police of Gujarat. He was currently serving as the DGP (Training) in Gandhinagar, will hold the additional charge of the state DGP.
He will take place of incumbent Ashish Bhatia, following his retirement. Mr. Bhatia was on an extension.
The senior IPS officer will hold the charge of DGP in addition to his regular role until further orders, said the order.
