In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Maharashtra government transferred 13 IAS officers on Tuesday. Among those affected, senior IAS officer Pravin Darade has been appointed as the Principal Secretary in the Cooperation, Marketing, and Textile Department.
Pankaj Kumar, a 2002-batch IAS officer, has been designated as the Secretary and Special Enquiry Officer (2) in the General Administration Department.
Meanwhile, 2007 batch IAS officer Nitin Patil, who previously served as the Secretary of the State Human Rights Commission, will now take over as the Commissioner of Skill Development, Employment, and Entrepreneurship. Patil’s former role at the State Human Rights Commission will be assumed by P.K. Dange.

In another notable change, 2009 batch IAS officer Shweta Singhal, formerly the Secretary to the Governor, has been appointed as the Amravati Divisional Commissioner. She is replaced by Prashant Narnaware.
Anil Bhandari, the Joint Chief Executive Officer of the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC), Mumbai, has been reassigned as the Director of Information Technology.
S. Ramamoorthy, previously the Secretary of the Fee Regulatory Authority, has been posted as the Deputy Secretary to the Governor.
Abhijit Raut, the current Collector of Nanded, will now serve as the Joint Commissioner of State Tax, while Rahul Kardile, the Joint Managing Director of the City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO), will take over as the new Collector of Nanded.
Additionally, Madhavi Sardeshmukh, the Chief Executive Officer of Smart City Kalyan-Dombivli, has been transferred to the position of Director of Vocational Education and Training.
Amit Ranjan, Assistant Collector of Charmoshi Sub Division in Gadchiroli, has been assigned as the Project Officer of the Integrated Tribal Development Project (ITDP) Pandharkawada, and as the Assistant Collector of Kelapur Sub Division in Yavatmal.
The reshuffle marks a significant shift in various key administrative departments, with the Maharashtra government aiming to streamline operations across its agencies.
