New Delhi/Raipur: In a significant development in the Indian bureaucracy, two senior IAS officers from the 1995 batch belonging to the Chhattisgarh cadre—Dr. Maninder Kaur Dwivedi and Gaurav Dwivedi—have been empanelled for top positions at the Centre. The move opens up possibilities for key assignments, both at the Union government and in their home cadre.
Dr. Maninder Kaur Dwivedi Gets Chief Secretary Grade Proforma Promotion
Currently serving as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Dr. Maninder Kaur Dwivedi was granted proforma promotion to the Chief Secretary grade in March 2025 within her cadre. Her elevation reflects both her seniority and the Centre’s confidence in her administrative capabilities.
Gaurav Dwivedi: CEO, Prasar Bharati
Her husband, Gaurav Dwivedi, is serving as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Prasar Bharati, the national public broadcaster. A seasoned bureaucrat known for his work in digital governance and media administration, Dwivedi’s central role keeps him at the intersection of public communication and national policy.
Speculation Over Top Posting in Chhattisgarh
With the empanelment of both officers, speculation is rife that one of them could be considered for the post of Chief Secretary (CS) of Chhattisgarh—a position currently under scrutiny amid changing political and administrative priorities in the state.
As both officers are highly experienced, senior-most in their cadre, and enjoy a strong professional reputation, their names are naturally being floated for top administrative roles either in Delhi or Raipur.
