20 Senior IAS Officers Visit Nagaland Bamboo Resource Centre as Part of Induction Training Programme

A team of 20 senior IAS officers from 10 states visited the Nagaland Bamboo Resource Centre, Sovima, on March 11, 2025, as part of the 126th Induction Training Programme (ITP).

The training session included a detailed discussion on technical knowledge and the significance of bamboo in the resource sector, conducted by Dr. Tolto Metha, Member, NBM-IT. The officers gained insights into bamboo’s economic and ecological importance.

The Induction Training Programme is organized by the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Mussoorie, under the Government of India. The visit aimed to familiarize senior bureaucrats with sustainable resource management and the potential of bamboo as a key industry in India.
