Government of India is ready to expand the global footprint and has approved 215 additional post for Indian Foreign Service. the Union Cabinet approved the cadre review and restructuring of IFS strength in the next five years.
This move came when government requires more specialised manpower around the globe and plans to open more Indian missions in the next few years. Let it be known that this restricting came 19 years after the last one.
