Amit Kumar Appointed as Private Secretary to Minister for Tribal Affairs
In a significant move, IAS officer Amit Kumar (IAS: 2010, Jharkhand) has been appointed as the Private Secretary to the Minister for Tribal Affairs, Jual Oram, for a tenure of five years. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved his appointment, which will commence from the date of taking over charge or until further orders. Kumar will take up the role at the Director level. This position will remain in effect until he ceases to function in the role or until other instructions are issued.
Abhilaksh Likhi Takes on Additional Charge as Secretary, Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying
Abhilaksh Likhi (IAS: 1991, Haryana), currently serving as the Secretary in the Department of Fisheries, has been entrusted with the additional charge of the Secretary for the Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying. This temporary arrangement follows the leave of Ms. Alka Upadhyaya (IAS: 1990, Madhya Pradesh), who is currently on leave. Likhi will hold the additional responsibility from April 25 to May 6, 2025, as per the DoPT order.
Seema Jain Assigned Additional Charge of Member Finance, Atomic Energy Commission
Seema Jain (IAS: 1991, Punjab), currently serving as Member Finance in the Space Commission, has been given the additional charge of Member Finance at the Atomic Energy Commission, Department of Atomic Energy. This decision follows the relinquishment of the post by Pankaj Kumar Mishra (IRS-IT: 1989). Jain will continue in the role until a regular incumbent is appointed or until further instructions are issued by the authorities.
