Hyderabad: The 77th Regular Recruit (RR) batch of Indian Police Service (IPS) officers marked the successful completion of their training at the prestigious Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA) in Hyderabad with a grand Dikshant Parade held today. The event was graced by Daljit Singh Chaudhary, former Director General of the Border Security Force (BSF), who served as the chief guest.
In a proud moment for the Indian policing community, 190 officers officially graduated, including 174 Indian IPS probationers and 16 foreign trainees from nations such as Nepal, Bhutan, and Maldives.
Kirti Yadav, IPS (P): A Standout Performer from AGMUT Cadre
Among the most distinguished graduates was Ms. Kirti Yadav, a probationer from the AGMUT cadre, who received multiple awards for outstanding performance during training. She was widely lauded for her excellence in outdoor training disciplines and drill command.
Yadav led Platoon No. 4 during the parade, commanding with precision and composure. Her synchronized drill execution and leadership ability stood as a testament to the hard work and discipline she demonstrated throughout the demanding 49-week course.

Parade Leadership and Statistics
The parade commander for the 77th batch was IPS officer Anjit A. Nair, who led the ceremonial passing out with dignity and flair.
This year’s batch is remarkable not just for its size but also for its diversity and academic strength:
- Total Graduates: 190
- IPS Probationers (India): 174
- Foreign Officer Trainees: 16
- Women Officers: 62 (36.63% of the batch — highest in IPS history)
- Engineering Graduates: 87
- Arts Graduates: 29
- Science Graduates: 36
- MBBS Doctors: 8
- Law Graduates: 6
- Graduates Under Age 25: 21 (7 women, 14 men)

The batch includes:
- Four officers from Telangana, including two women
- Four officers from Andhra Pradesh, including one woman

- 6,476 IPS officers
- 380 foreign police officers from various countries
