In a recent administrative reshuffle, the Tamil Nadu government has transferred several senior IPS officers to new roles with immediate effect.

Mr. Vijayendra S. Bidari, a 2005-batch IPS officer, has been appointed as the Additional Commissioner of Police, Headquarters, Chennai. Mr. Kapil Kumar C. Saratkar, a 2002-batch IPS officer, has been transferred as the Inspector General of Police, Enforcement, Chennai. Similarly, Mr. G. Karthikeyan, also from the 2002 batch, has been posted as the Additional Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Chennai.
Mr. Santosh Kumar, a 2002-batch IPS officer, has been appointed as the Inspector General of Police, Economic Offences Wing, Chennai. Meanwhile, Ms. M. Sathiya Priya, a 2005-batch IPS officer, has taken charge as the Director General of Police/Head of Police Force, Tamil Nadu, Chennai.
Dr. M. Durai has been transferred as the Director General of Police/Head of Police Force, Headquarters, Tamil Nadu. Ms. Seema Agrawal, a 1990-batch IPS officer, has been appointed as the Director General of Police/Director, Fire and Rescue Services, Chennai.
Additionally, Mr. Rupesh Kumar Meena, a 2005-batch IPS officer, has been posted as the Director General of Police, Civil Supplies CID, Chennai.
These appointments reflect the state government’s effort to enhance leadership within the Tamil Nadu Police Department.
