Chandigarh: In a sweeping administrative move, the Punjab and Haryana High Court has transferred 84 judicial officers across various districts in Punjab, including several District and Sessions Judges. The decision is part of a routine but significant reshuffling exercise aimed at enhancing administrative efficiency within the judiciary.
One of the key transfers includes District and Sessions Judge Hari Singh Grewal, who has been posted to Chandigarh from Mansa on deputation, filling a vacant position.
The reshuffle includes several prominent names:
- Virinder Aggarwal, District and Sessions Judge, has been transferred from Ferozepur to Faridkot.
- Rajinder Aggarwal will now serve in Hoshiarpur, moving from Gurdaspur.
- Sumeet Malhotra has been shifted from Bathinda to Ferozepur.
- Manjinder Singh, previously serving as Member Secretary of the Punjab State Legal Services Authority, has been recalled from deputation and posted to Mansa.
Additionally, Navjot Kaur, who was serving as District and Sessions Judge in Faridkot, has been appointed as the new Member Secretary of the Punjab State Legal Services Authority and will take up her new post in Mohali.
This large-scale reshuffle is seen as part of the ongoing efforts to streamline judicial operations and ensure a balanced and effective distribution of judicial responsibilities across the state.
