Pune: Airports Authority of India (AAI) has extended ₹12.29 crore in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funding to support healthcare infrastructure at Balasaheb Deoras Rugnalay in Pune. The funding will enable the construction of the hospital’s fourth floor, which will house a state-of-the-art Pathology Laboratory and dedicated Ayurveda and Panchakarma therapy departments.
The initiative aims to strengthen community healthcare services and improve access to essential medical facilities for residents of Pune and surrounding areas.
New Facilities to Improve Diagnostics and Traditional Healthcare
The CSR-supported expansion will significantly enhance the hospital’s healthcare capabilities. Key facilities planned under the project include:
- Advanced Pathology Laboratory to provide accurate and timely diagnostic services
- Ayurveda and Panchakarma therapy departments promoting traditional wellness and holistic healthcare
- Expanded hospital capacity to serve a larger number of patients in Pune and nearby communities
These additions are expected to improve the quality and accessibility of healthcare services in the region.

The initiative was undertaken under the guidance of Murlidhar Mohol, Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation and Cooperation. The event was also attended by Vipin Kumar, Chairman of the Airports Authority of India, along with other dignitaries.
