AGMUT Cadre Transfers: 33 IAS & 45 IPS Officers Reshuffled By MHA

Fresh transfer and posting orders were issued by the Union Home Ministry’’ Union Territories Division to 78 IAS & IPS officers belonging to the Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territory (AGMUT) cadre. Of the 78 transferees, 33 were IAS officers, and 45 were IPS officers.

Notable among the IAS transferees are Delhi’s IAS Ajay Kumar Gupta (2010 batch), who is presently the District Magistrate of South East Delhi, and IAS Monica Priyadarshini (2014 batch), who is the Special Commissioner of Industries, who has been sent to the UT of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu. IAS Bhupesh Chaudhary (2014 batch), last posted as Director of Higher Education, and IAS Shashanka Ala (2014 batch) has been shifted to Ladakh. IAS Prerna Puri (2006 batch) last posted as the CEO of the JakeGA (Jammu & amp; Kashmir e-Governance Agency Department of Information Technology), will move to Chandigarh.

Among the IPS transferees are Delhi Police’s Joint Commissioners, Mr. Tusar Taba (2002 batch), Mr. Hibu Tamang and Mr. P.N. Khrimey (2004 batch), who have been transferred to Arunachal Pradesh.

Five district chiefs of the Delhi Police have also been moved including DCP, Southwest, IPS Rohit Meena (he will go to Mizoram); DCP, North, IPS Manoj Kumar Meena, DCP, North West, IPS Jitendra Kumar Meena, and DCP, Southeast, IPS Rajesh Deo have been sent to the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Dr. Joy Tirkey has been sent to Arunachal Pradesh.

IPS Mahendra Nath Tiwari (2004 batch), currently posted as Inspector General of Police, Armed, Jammu, has been transferred to Delhi as have IPS Sanjay Kumar Tyagi (2008 batch) and IPS Monika Bhardwaj (2009 batch) from Andaman and Nicobar Islands, IPS Amit Roy (2009 batch) and IPS Mohd. Akhtar Rizvi (2011 batch) from Arunachal Pradesh, Mohammed Ali (2012 batch) and Bhisham Singh (2012 batch) from Mizoram. Delhi Police PRO, IPS Suman Nalwa (2011 batch) has been transferred to Arunachal Pradesh.

The transfers have been mandated with immediate effect, and the Home Ministry said that the movement of the officials to and from Jammu and Kashmir will only take place after the completion of the election process in the UT.
