New Delhi: The CSIR-NAL QPlane eVTOL technology transfer marks a major step in India’s push for self-reliance in aerospace and drone technology. CSIR-National Aerospace Laboratories (CSIR-NAL) has officially handed over the technology of its indigenously developed QPlane eVTOL drone to Chennai-based KRR Aerospace for mass production.

This development is aligned with the government’s Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat initiatives. The move is expected to accelerate domestic drone manufacturing, reduce dependence on imports, and expand applications across defence, agriculture, and logistics sectors.

The QPlane is an advanced all-electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing (eVTOL) unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) developed by CSIR-NAL.
