Bhopal: Anurag Sujania, a 2014-batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of the Madhya Pradesh cadre, has submitted his resignation from the service, citing personal reasons. His decision came days after the state government transferred him from the post of Superintendent of Police (SP), Sagar, to the Police Headquarters (PHQ) in Bhopal.
Sujania tendered his resignation on November 2. The transfer order, issued on October 27, posted him as Assistant Inspector General (AIG) at the PHQ. He was replaced as Sagar SP by 2016-batch IPS officer Sanjeev Kumar Sinha.
The resignation followed a wider administrative reshuffle involving the Collectors and Superintendents of Police of Sagar and Dewas districts. However, no official statement has established a connection between the transfer and Sujania’s decision to resign.
