The Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions has revised the authorised strength of the Indian Police Service (IPS) cadre for the AGMUT (Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Mizoram, and Union Territories) region, increasing it from 457 to 532. This revision, made through an amendment to the Indian Police Service (Fixation of Cadre Strength) Regulations, 1955, was notified on January 3, 2025.
