UP: ADA Agra Board Reviews Shastripuram Heights Flat Prices, Plans International Indoor Stadium

Agra: The Agra Development Authority (ADA) held its 151st board meeting under the chairmanship of Agra Divisional Commissioner Shailendra Kumar Singh, where several key proposals were discussed and approved. Among the highlights were reconsideration of flat prices in Shastripuram Heights, preparation for an international indoor stadium, and the budget outline for the upcoming financial year.

Shastripuram Heights Flats Prices to Be Reconsidered

The board decided to review the pricing of flats in Shastripuram Heights, raising the possibility of price reductions to boost sales. The meeting noted concerns over unsold flats in various residential schemes:

  • Out of 336 flats in Shastripuram Heights, only 93 have been sold.
  • In Taj Nagari ADA Heights, 170 flats remain unsold, considered unpopular properties, with a decision taken for bulk sale.

Budget and Financial Performance

ADA presented the budget for FY 2026-27 during the meeting. Key figures include:

  • FY 2025-26 (up to December 31, 2025):
    • Total income: ₹891.45 crore
    • Total expenditure: ₹543.38 crore
  • FY 2026-27 Budget:
    • Planned expenditure on development and other works: ₹1,174.75 crore
    • Expected income: ₹1,549.65 crore

International Indoor Stadium Proposal

The Divisional Commissioner emphasized the city’s tourism potential and emerging sports talents, directing ADA to prepare a proposal for an international standard indoor stadium to promote sports infrastructure in Agra.

Infrastructure and Urban Development Initiatives

ADA also approved several measures to improve urban infrastructure:

  • Encroachment-Free Land:
    • Parks to be developed on land received from the Urban Ceiling Department in Kakretha, Bodla, and Sikandra, with fencing to prevent illegal occupation.
  • Logistics Park & Vision-2026:
    • Integration of parking and other facilities with the proposed park.
  • Drainage and Flood Prevention:
    • Nala construction in Shastripuram and UPSIDC areas will receive fast-track financial approval to prevent waterlogging.

Other Key Discussions

  • Sursadan PPP Project:
    • Due to no bids received, the Divisional Commissioner directed ADA to set practical rates and re-invite tenders.
  • Sho-Plaza Allocation in Panchkuiyan:
    • Report, including recommendations from trade associations, sent to the government for approval.
  • Amrit Yojana TOD Zones:
    • Discussion held on zonal development plans under the TOD scheme.
