Aminkhan Yasinkhan Shaikh, an IRS officer from the 2011 batch, has been promoted to Director while serving as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. Mr. Shaikh is on central deputation since November 26, 2024. The Department of Personnel and Training issued an order on January 8, 2025, approving the re-designation of his post to Director. This promotion will take effect from the date he assumes charge of his new role and will continue until November 25, 2029, giving him a total tenure of five years under the central staffing scheme.
