The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the proposal of the Ministry of Power for the appointment of Shri Amit Kumar Jain, currently serving as General Manager at Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL), to the post of Director (Finance) at Grid Controller of India Limited (Grid-India). His appointment is for a period of five years, effective from the date he assumes charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Amit Kumar Jain is a qualified Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and brings extensive experience in financial management within the power sector. His expertise is expected to strengthen the financial strategy and operations at Grid-India, especially as the organisation continues to evolve in a rapidly transforming energy landscape.

Grid-India, formerly known as Power System Operation Corporation Limited (POSOCO), functions under the administrative control of the Ministry of Power, Government of India.
