Chandigarh: In a significant gesture of appreciation and direction, Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini on Thursday met with officers who have recently been promoted from Haryana Civil Service (HCS) to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS). Congratulating them on their new roles, the CM advised them to uphold the ideals of Antyodaya—ensuring that the benefits of government schemes and services reach the last person in society.
“Public Service is the Ultimate Goal,” Says CM Saini
During the courtesy meeting, CM Saini congratulated the officers and commended them for their commitment, dedication, and integrity. He emphasized that their promotion to IAS was a recognition of their past service and an expectation for even greater contribution ahead.
“Your promotion is a result of years of honest and efficient work. Now, your responsibility is greater, and you must ensure that every citizen—especially the most deprived—feels the presence and benefit of governance,” said the Chief Minister.
Focus on Antyodaya and Good Governance
The CM invoked the principle of Antyodaya, a key governance philosophy that focuses on uplifting the most marginalized sections of society.
He urged the officers to:
- Work with transparency and accountability.
- Ensure the efficient delivery of schemes and services.
- Always prioritize the public interest over personal convenience.
- Uphold sensitivity in administration while maintaining high ethical standards.
“Experience Will Drive Haryana’s Progress”
Expressing confidence in the capabilities of the newly promoted officers, CM Saini said their administrative experience and deep understanding of state-level challenges would play a vital role in Haryana’s development.
“With your knowledge and ground-level experience, I am confident you will help take Haryana to new heights,” the CM said.
He also reiterated the importance of creating a citizen-centric administration that is responsive to the needs of the people and proactive in addressing local challenges.
A Message of Encouragement and Accountability
CM Saini’s message served both as a congratulatory note and a roadmap for performance, reminding the officers that promotions come with greater expectations for ethical leadership, inclusive growth, and administrative excellence.
The meeting concluded with a group photograph and individual interactions, as the CM wished each officer success in their future assignments.
