Amaravati: The Andhra Pradesh government has promoted five IAS officers of the 2010 batch to the Super Time Scale (Pay Matrix Level-14), elevating them to the rank of government secretaries with effect from January 1, 2026.
This routine administrative upgradation brings these officers on par with cadre secretaries, enhancing administrative efficiency and cadre parity in the state bureaucracy.
Officers Elevated to Secretary Rank
The officers promoted to the Super Time Scale include –
- Chadalavada Nagarani – continues as District Collector and District Magistrate, West Godavari
- Dr Narayana Bharat Gupta – continues as Commissioner of Collegiate Education and State Project Director, ARUSP
- Amrapali Kata – continues as Vice-Chairperson & Managing Director, Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC)
- J Niwas – assigned as per administrative requirements (specific role not mentioned)
- Gandham Chandrudu – appointed as Labour Commissioner (full additional charge) following the relieving of M V Seshagiri Babu

Following these promotions, Chief Secretary K Vijayanand stated that separate orders will be issued wherever required to address the creation of posts, upgradation, and cadre parity to align with the newly elevated positions.
