NEW DELHI: The 12th India Rubber Expo 2026 was inaugurated on Tuesday at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, Delhi, by Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta. The event welcomed industrialists, scientists, and business representatives from across India and abroad. During her address, CM Gupta highlighted India’s growing manufacturing capabilities and the vast potential of the rubber industry in driving industrial and economic growth.

Officials noted that the Expo provides a strategic platform for innovation, investment, and technological collaboration in the rubber sector.

‘Make in India’ and ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ Boost Global Manufacturing Identity

Chief Minister Gupta praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiatives, emphasizing that campaigns like ‘Make in India’ and ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ have transformed India from being an assembly hub to a strong manufacturing nation on the global stage. She described the rubber industry as a key pillar of India’s industrial progress, with applications spanning automobiles, aerospace, and domestic goods, reinforcing India’s position in high-value manufacturing and exports.

Scientific Self-Reliance and Nuclear Program Milestone

Highlighting India’s broader industrial and technological strides, the Chief Minister pointed out that the country is entering the second phase of its civil nuclear program. She noted that this achievement is not only a symbol of India’s scientific excellence but also reflects the nation’s growing self-reliance in energy security and technological confidence on the world stage.

Delhi: A Strategic Hub for Investment and Industry

CM Gupta reiterated the Delhi government’s commitment to fostering an investor- and industry-friendly environment. She invited entrepreneurs and startups to leverage Delhi’s ecosystem to add value in the rubber sector, emphasizing the city as an ideal destination for innovation, investment, and industrial development.

Officials highlighted that the Expo will serve as a catalyst for business collaborations, technology adoption, and export growth, strengthening Delhi’s position in India’s manufacturing landscape.
