On Saturday, Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, Dr. B D Mishra addressed the Special Assembly Session of the state. In his address, he requested the help of Vice-President of India, Mr. M Venkaiah Naidu for increasing the tenure of IAS and IPS officers of Senior and Junior rank of the state. Governor requested a minimum of 3 to 4 years tenure extension to senior rank IAS and IPS officers, whereas for junior rank IAS and IPS officers of the state, a minimum of 5 years tenure extension was requested. He made the request in the public interest and for the development of the state in the larger context.
Mr. B D Mishra in his address also congratulated the Assembly house for successfully conducting its previous four sessions through the e-Vidhan Application. The Arunachal Pradesh Legislative assembly has become India’s 3rd and North-East’s 1st paperless assembly and uses the e-Vidhan Application for the business of the house.
