The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has recommended Asheesh Kumar for the post of Director (Business Development) at Coal India Limited (CIL), a Schedule ‘A’ Central Public Sector Enterprise.
The recommendation came during a PESB meeting held on May 17, 2025, where 12 candidates were interviewed for the position.
About Asheesh Kumar
Kumar is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad, and brings over 31 years of experience within Coal India Limited, reflecting a deep understanding of the organization’s operations and growth strategy. He was most recently serving as General Manager (OSD) at CIL.
His long-standing association with the coal sector and leadership in various developmental roles is expected to bolster CIL’s strategic business expansion initiatives.
