On January 6, 2025, the Union Government notified the appointment of Judicial Officer Ashish Naithani as a judge of the Uttarakhand High Court. His elevation was recommended by the Supreme Court collegium on December 22, 2024. Following the collegium’s approval, the proposal was sent to the President for final consent, leading to Naithani’s appointment.
