Ashish Tiwari (IFoS:1995:UP) has been appointed as Air Lead at the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) in Kathmandu, Nepal, for a tenure of three years.
An order from the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) dated June 14, 2025, confirms the approval of the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change’s proposal, allowing Mr. Tiwari to take up the foreign assignment from the date he assumes charge or until further orders.
ICIMOD is a regional intergovernmental knowledge and learning centre serving the Hindu Kush Himalaya (HKH) region, comprising eight member countries: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, India, Myanmar, Nepal, and Pakistan. The organisation works towards improving livelihoods and protecting the fragile mountain ecosystems and cultures through sustainable development initiatives.
