Balmer Lawrie & Co. Ltd. has proudly announced that its Strategic Business Unit (SBU): Chemicals has received the Silver Award at the India Green Manufacturing Challenge (IGMC) 2024. This honour underscores the SBU’s dedication to advancing sustainable and eco-friendly manufacturing processes.
The IGMC, an esteemed initiative by the International Research Institute for Manufacturing (IRIM) based in Mumbai, recognises organisations that demonstrate outstanding commitment to sustainability in their manufacturing operations.
As part of the evaluation, IRIM conducted a comprehensive audit of Balmer Lawrie’s Manali Plant in Chennai, thoroughly assessing its adherence to green manufacturing practices. This award highlights the continuous efforts of the Chemicals team in embracing environmentally responsible methods and fostering innovation to achieve sustainability goals.
