New Delhi: Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has reported a record turnover of approximately ₹26,750 crore (provisional and unaudited) for the financial year 2025–26, marking a 16.2% growth over ₹23,024 crore recorded in the previous fiscal.
The Navratna defence public sector undertaking also posted robust export performance, reflecting its growing global presence in advanced defence and technology solutions.
Strong Financial and Export Performance
BEL’s export sales rose significantly to $141.9 million in FY26, compared to $106.17 million in FY25, registering a 33.65% growth. This highlights the company’s expanding footprint in international defence markets and its ability to deliver high-quality indigenous products globally.

Major Orders Boost Order Book
During FY26, BEL secured fresh orders worth around ₹30,000 crore, including export orders valued at $346 million. Key defence orders included:
- Avionics for Light Combat Aircraft (LCA)
- Mountain radars and air defence systems
- Electronic Warfare (EW) suites for helicopters and naval platforms
- Electro-optical/infrared (EOIR) payloads
- Fire control and sighting systems for tanks
- Counter-unmanned aerial systems (C-UAS)
- Mobile communication and network systems
In the non-defence segment, BEL received orders for:
- Communication equipment
- IT infrastructure for AIIMS
- Airport surveillance radars
- Software solutions
- Automatic train supervision systems
- Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs)
Export orders included communication systems, satellite networks, transmit-receive modules, drones, and electronic fuzes.
Order Book Reaches ₹74,000 Crore
With these new contracts, BEL’s total order book has reached around ₹74,000 crore as of April 1, 2026, including an export order book of approximately $495 million. This strong pipeline ensures sustained growth and operational stability in the coming years.
Focus on Self-Reliance and Future Technologies
Commenting on the performance, Chairman and Managing Director Manoj Jain emphasized that evolving geopolitical developments and global conflicts have reinforced the importance of self-reliance in strategic sectors.
He noted that BEL is well-positioned to capitalize on emerging opportunities, supported by:
- A strong and diversified order book
- Modern manufacturing facilities
- Proven project execution capabilities
The company continues to focus on indigenisation, reducing import dependency, and strengthening domestic supply chains. It is also investing in future-ready technologies such as:
- Artificial Intelligence (AI)
- Cybersecurity solutions
- Advanced electronic warfare systems
- Autonomous platforms and communication technologies
