New Delhi: Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a Navratna Defence Public Sector Undertaking, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with HSCC (India) Limited, a Mini Ratna PSU, to establish a strategic collaboration in the healthcare manufacturing and services ecosystem. The partnership aims to jointly address the requirements of both civilian and defence healthcare markets in India as well as overseas.
Focus on Integrated Healthcare Solutions
The MoU is designed to leverage the complementary strengths and domain expertise of BEL and HSCC to deliver holistic, integrated, and technologically advanced healthcare solutions. The collaboration will focus on medical electronics, healthcare software, IT infrastructure, and cyber security solutions tailored for hospitals and medical facilities.
Through this partnership, the two PSUs intend to support the development of modern, digitally enabled, and secure healthcare infrastructure, catering to the growing needs of defence establishments, government hospitals, and civilian healthcare providers.

Collaboration for Domestic and Global Markets
The strategic alliance will enable BEL and HSCC to jointly explore opportunities in both domestic and international markets. By combining BEL’s capabilities in advanced electronics, system integration, and cyber security with HSCC’s expertise in healthcare consultancy, project management, and hospital infrastructure development, the partnership aims to create end-to-end healthcare solutions.
The initiative aligns with the Government of India’s emphasis on strengthening indigenous manufacturing, enhancing healthcare delivery, and expanding India’s footprint in global healthcare services.
MoU Exchange Ceremony
The MoU was exchanged by Mr. Narasimha Naika, In-charge General Manager (EM), BEL, and Mrs. Monisha Tankha, General Manager (SVIG), HSCC. The exchange took place in the presence of senior leadership from both organizations, including Mr. Suresh Kumar KV, Director (Marketing), BEL, and Mr. Novman Ahmed, Managing Director, HSCC, along with other senior officials.
Strategic Significance
The collaboration is expected to open new avenues for innovation in healthcare technologies, particularly in areas such as smart hospitals, secure medical data systems, and advanced diagnostic and monitoring solutions. It also reflects the growing convergence of defence technologies and civilian healthcare requirements, especially in digital health and cyber-secure systems.
