Bengaluru/Kozhikode: Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a leading Navratna Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Management-Kozhikode (IIM-K), one of India’s premier management institutions, to enhance leadership development, management expertise, and business acumen among its executives.
Building Future-Ready Leaders
The MoU envisions the launch of a series of customised Professional Post Graduate Diploma (PPGD) programmes designed by IIM-Kozhikode. These programmes aim to nurture a capable and future-ready talent pool within BEL, empowering its executives with advanced management learning, strategic thinking, and domain-specific expertise.
In the first phase, the collaboration will focus on Supply Chain Management, Marketing Management, and General Management, with the scope to expand into other themes based on BEL’s requirements and the evolving business landscape.

The MoU was signed in the presence of Mr. N. Vikraman, Director (HR), BEL, and Prof. Debashis Chatterjee, Director, IIM-Kozhikode, along with senior officials from both organisations. Leaders from BEL and IIM-Kozhikode expressed their enthusiasm for this partnership, emphasizing that it marks a significant milestone in the long-standing relationship between the two institutions.
The PPGD programme series has been curated to help BEL professionals evolve into mindful, resilient, and visionary leaders, capable of steering the organisation through the challenges of a rapidly changing defence and business ecosystem.
