BEL Signs MoU with Instapower to Boost Advanced Electronics in Railway, Aviation, and EMS Sectors

New Delhi: In a strategic move to expand its technology portfolio and explore emerging business opportunities, Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Instapower Limited, a company recognised as an R&D house by the Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. The collaboration aims to leverage cutting-edge technologies in the Railway, Aviation, and Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) sectors.

MoU Signing and Collaboration Scope

The MoU was signed in New Delhi by Mr. Abhijit Rai Vaish, Executive Director of Instapower Limited, and Mr. Prahalad P.S., General Manager (Civilian Marketing), BEL. The partnership is designed to combine BEL’s expertise in defence electronics, system integration, and programme execution with Instapower’s capabilities in design, development, and manufacturing of electronics products.

Officials highlighted that the collaboration will help BEL enhance its capabilities in non-defence sectors, particularly Railway and Aviation, while strengthening its EMS offerings and exploring other high-growth business domains of mutual interest.

Focus on Advanced Technologies

Through this partnership, both organisations plan to jointly pursue emerging opportunities involving advanced and cutting-edge technologies. The collaboration reflects a growing trend in the Indian defence and technology sectors to leverage synergies between public sector enterprises and innovative private R&D companies.

The MoU is expected to result in joint development projects, technology transfer, and potential scaling of solutions in sectors where precision electronics, system integration, and large-scale manufacturing are critical.
