Patna: Bihar State Food & Civil Supplies Corporation Limited (BSFC) has received another major recognition for its modern and transparent grain transportation system. Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL)—a prestigious Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Defence—has praised BSFC’s GPS-based vehicle tracking and load monitoring system, calling it the best and model implementation in the entire country.

BSFC’s Modern Transport Monitoring System Sets a National Benchmark

BSFC’s advanced digital system has significantly strengthened the safety, efficiency, and accountability of the grain supply chain in Bihar. The system integrates real-time vehicle tracking, monitoring of load movement, and digital oversight to ensure smooth and transparent foodgrain transportation across the state.

BEL has now acknowledged BSFC as one of the first state food corporations in India to use cutting-edge technology for grain transport safety and monitoring, setting a new benchmark for other states.

BEL Proposes Comprehensive Technical Collaboration

Impressed by BSFC’s progressive initiative, Bharat Electronics Limited has proposed to provide technical support to further strengthen BSFC’s supply chain operations.

BEL has expressed interest in supplying and fully managing:

  • Vehicle Tracking System (VTS) devices for all grain transport vehicles
  • Load sensors for real-time monitoring
  • Installation, system integration, commissioning, and
  • Complete managed services for the entire monitoring ecosystem

This collaboration aims to make Bihar’s foodgrain transportation even more secure, transparent, and technologically advanced.

BSFC Welcomes the Proposal as a Major Step Toward Tech-Driven Food Management

BSFC has termed BEL’s proposal highly significant, noting that such cooperation will further enhance the state’s food management system and push it toward more technology-driven, efficient, and reliable operations.

With BEL’s interest in collaborating, BSFC expects to elevate its already successful digital monitoring model and establish Bihar as a frontrunner in modern food supply chain management across India.
