New Delhi: BEML Limited has secured a major export order worth USD 36.38 million from the Middle East region, strengthening its global expansion strategy and boosting India’s defence and engineering export footprint.
The order involves the supply of heavy earthmoving equipment designed for large-scale infrastructure development projects.
Focus on Infrastructure-Ready Heavy Equipment
The equipment to be supplied under the contract has been specially re-engineered for infrastructure and reconstruction projects. Traditionally used in mining operations, these machines have been upgraded for:
- High-intensity infrastructure development
- Strategic construction applications
- Enhanced performance and durability standards
The systems also include safety features such as ROPS/FOPS-certified ergonomically designed cabins to ensure operator protection in challenging environments.

Lifecycle Support and Maintenance Included
The project is expected to include a comprehensive maintenance and lifecycle support package. BEML, along with its local partners, will provide:
- Spare parts supply
- Regular servicing and maintenance
- Operational support
- Full lifecycle management
This ensures high operational efficiency and long-term equipment reliability for the client.
Strengthening Global Competitiveness
According to CMD Shantanu Roy, the order reflects BEML’s growing global competitiveness and strategic vision to become a key infrastructure solutions provider.
He stated that the company remains committed to delivering rugged, technology-driven solutions aligned with international standards.
Expanding Presence in Middle East Markets
This contract marks an important step in BEML’s expansion into the technologically advanced infrastructure ecosystem of the Middle East. The company aims to deepen partnerships with system integrators and expand its long-term global presence.

Growing Global Order Book
With this latest contract, BEML’s total international order bookings have reached approximately USD 106.95 million. The company recently also secured:
- Its first overseas metro rolling stock order worth USD 60 million in Africa
