Bengaluru: Public sector engineering major BEML Limited has received a substantial order worth approximately ₹1,888 crore from the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) for the manufacture, supply, testing, and commissioning of complete, fully functional LHB (Linke Hofmann Busch) coaches, marking a major boost to the company’s growing order pipeline.
The new contract is one of the largest domestic orders for BEML in the railway segment and comes at a crucial time as the company aggressively expands its footprint both within India and internationally.
First Overseas Rail & Metro Order Secured from Malaysia
In addition to the ICF deal, BEML also recently bagged its first overseas order in the Rail and Metro segment. The company received a contract from Malaysia on August 9, 2025, for the retrofit and reconditioning of the Mass Rapid Transport System, valued at USD 1 million.
This move signals BEML’s strategic shift to explore international opportunities and diversify its order base beyond India, particularly in the growing Asia-Pacific metro infrastructure market.
Order Book Expected to Hit ₹20,000 Cr; Market Cap at ₹16,480 Cr
With these significant deals, BEML’s total order book is expected to reach around ₹20,000 crore, reflecting a robust pipeline of defence, rail, metro, and infrastructure projects. As of the latest trading session, BEML’s market capitalization stood at ₹16,480 crore, showcasing growing investor confidence in the company’s long-term prospects.
Q1 FY26 Financial Snapshot: Revenue Stable, Loss Reported
For the first quarter of FY26, BEML reported:
- Revenue from operations at ₹633.99 crore
- Total income at ₹642.56 crore
- Consolidated net loss of ₹64.11 crore, representing a 9.02% drop for the quarter
While the company reported a loss for the quarter, analysts view the fresh order wins and long-term pipeline as key positives for future recovery and profitability.

Following the order announcements, BEML shares were trading higher by 2.22% on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), quoted at ₹3,945.00 per share. The market responded positively to the company’s strong order inflows and international expansion efforts.
