Dhuri: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Sunday launched the Aam Aadmi Party’s statewide door-to-door campaign for the 2027 Assembly elections from Dhuri, placing his government’s four-and-a-half-year record and the “Mann Da Munafa” theme at the centre of the outreach.
The campaign will see AAP workers and volunteers visit households across Punjab to present the government’s work since 2022. Mann personally began the outreach in Dhuri, meeting families and interacting with elderly residents, women, youngsters and children.
Mann Pitches Welfare Benefits
Mann claimed that government welfare measures provide every Punjab family with an annual benefit of ₹1.82 lakh, citing initiatives including free electricity, healthcare, education and the Mawan Dheeyan Satkar Yojna.

“Every family in Punjab is today benefiting by Rs 1.82 lakh annually from the initiatives rolled out by our government,” Mann said.
He urged families to calculate their own savings from government schemes, describing this as the meaning of “Mann Da Munafa.”
Mann also highlighted free electricity and government healthcare services, saying these measures had reduced household expenditure on essential services. His statements on the financial benefit are claims made by the chief minister and were presented as part of the party’s campaign pitch.
AAP Says Campaign Will Focus on Government Record
Mann said the party would take its record of governance directly to households and keep its campaign focused on the work carried out since coming to power in 2022.
“Our entire election campaign will remain positive. We will talk only about our work. We will place our record before the people and let them judge it,” he said.
AAP had also unveiled its election pamphlet in Ludhiana a day before the door-to-door campaign began. The month-long outreach is scheduled to run across Punjab, with party workers taking the campaign material and government report card to households.
Mann also raised the issue of drugs and criticised opposition parties during the campaign. His remarks included allegations against the BJP regarding the flow of drugs into Punjab; those allegations were presented as his political claims.
The AAP’s statewide door-to-door campaign now marks the party’s grassroots outreach ahead of the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections, with “Mann Da Munafa” being used to frame its presentation of the government’s welfare and governance record.
