Leadership Update at BHEL: Asim Mishra Takes Charge of Power Sector HQ, Sanjeev Roy & Rakesh Chokhani Retire

New Delhi: Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has announced key changes in its senior management, including a new appointment and superannuations in the board.

New Appointment in Power Sector

Asim Mishra, General Manager (PS-HQ) and SA to Director (Power), has been appointed as the new Head of BHEL, Power Sector – Headquarters, New Delhi. He will report directly to the Director (Power), BHEL.

Mr. Mishra holds a BE in Electronics & Communications and brings 34 years of experience in power sector operations and management. His appointment marks a strategic step in strengthening BHEL’s leadership in the power domain.

Senior Management Superannuations

BHEL also announced the superannuation of the following senior officials on August 24, 2025:

  • Sanjeev Kumar Roy – Executive Director (PS-HQ), New Delhi
  • Rakesh Kumar Chokhani – General Manager I/C (OSD), NBG, PS-BG II, Noida

These transitions are part of BHEL’s ongoing effort to refresh leadership and ensure smooth continuity in its operations.
