Patna/Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav arrived in Patna on October 16 to actively campaign for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. Addressing large public gatherings at Kumhrar’s Kadamkua and Vikram’s Parvati School Sports Ground, he urged the people to support BJP candidates Sanjay Gupta and Siddharth Saurav respectively. Dr. Yadav confidently projected that the NDA government, under Nitish Kumar’s leadership, would form the government for the third consecutive term.
Praising Economic Reforms and Development
During his speech, Dr. Yadav praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s economic reforms, saying they are transforming the country’s economy and improving the lives of millions. The enthusiastic crowds responded with chants supporting the BJP and NDA, reflecting strong public backing.

Historical and Cultural Connections
Dr. Yadav, who hails from Vikram’s historic land, spoke about the symbolism of the name Vikram—representing governance, generosity, and courage. He highlighted Madhya Pradesh’s development achievements under the BJP government and acknowledged Nitish Kumar’s efforts in accelerating Bihar’s progress by focusing on good governance. He also referenced the ancient historical connection between Ujjain and Patna, mentioning Emperor Ashoka’s journey as a link between the two regions.
Criticism of Congress and Opposition
Criticizing the Congress party, Dr. Yadav blamed it for Bihar’s past failures and the stifling of youth employment opportunities. He said that under Congress and opposition rule, Bihar suffered from lawlessness, corruption, and a lack of development, a phase often referred to as ‘Jungle Raj.’ According to him, Bihar, despite producing the highest number of IAS officers in the country, was left in a state of neglect where people were “holding lanterns in the dark.”

Emphasis on Democracy and Leadership in NDA
He further emphasized the democratic nature of the NDA and BJP, recalling Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan’s fight to protect democracy. Dr. Yadav cited Prime Minister Modi’s rise from a tea seller to the country’s leader as an example of true democratic opportunity within the party. He praised Nitish Kumar’s leadership and sharply criticized the opposition for their lack of vision and sincerity, labeling Congress as a family-run political outfit.
Social Welfare, Cultural Revival, and Future Prospects
Addressing cultural and social issues, Dr. Yadav highlighted PM Modi’s welfare schemes, including free medical treatment for the poor up to Rs 5 lakh, and noted India’s growing stature on the global stage. He condemned Congress for questioning religious beliefs, especially concerning Lord Ram, despite the Supreme Court’s verdict on the Ram Janmabhoomi case. He said the focus is now shifting to Mathura, where Lord Krishna’s legacy will be celebrated.
Confidently, Dr. Mohan Yadav concluded that under Nitish Kumar’s leadership, the NDA is poised to win Bihar for the third consecutive time.
