Prayagraj: The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission has declared the final results of the Combined State/Upper Subordinate Services Examination-2024 (UPPCS 2024) late Sunday night, with Neha Panchal emerging as the topper of one of the state’s most prestigious competitive examinations.

The result has drawn significant attention due to the remarkable performance of women candidates, with six women securing positions among the top 10, and six of the top seven ranks being held by women, marking one of the strongest female performances in recent years in the examination.

Neha Panchal secured the first rank, while Ananya Trivedi from Raebareli stood second. Abhay Pratap Singh secured the third position.

932 Candidates Selected Against 947 Vacancies

The Commission announced that 932 candidates have been selected against 947 advertised vacancies across 24 categories of posts and services.

However, 15 posts remain vacant because suitable candidates were not available for certain categories.

These include:

  • 1 post of Vyavastha Adhikari (Estate Officer)
  • 14 posts of Vyavasthapak (Manager)

Officials clarified that these vacancies remained unfilled due to the absence of eligible candidates meeting required standards.

Women’s Success Rate Improves Again

A major feature of this year’s result is the strong representation of women in overall selections as well.

Out of the 932 selected candidates:

  • 613 are men
  • 319 are women

This places the women’s success rate at 34.22%.

For comparison, in UPPCS 2023, out of 251 selected candidates, 84 were women, resulting in a 33.46% success rate.

The data reflects a continued rise in women’s participation and success in state civil services examinations.

Interview Process Completed in Less Than a Month

According to Commission records, the Main Examination results were declared on February 4, 2026, after which 2,719 candidates qualified for the interview stage.

Additionally, two more candidates were provisionally allowed for interviews following High Court orders related to pending petitions.

The interview process was conducted between February 26 and March 23, during which:

  • 21 candidates remained absent
  • Final results were declared just five days after completion of interviews

This quick turnaround has been noted as one of the faster result declarations in recent years.

Marks and Cut-Off to Be Released Soon

UPPSC Secretary Ashok Kumar stated that:

  • Candidates’ obtained marks
  • Category-wise cut-off
  • Post-wise cut-off marks

will soon be uploaded on the Commission’s official website.

Candidates whose names appear marked as “Provisional” in the result list must submit required documents within the prescribed time limit.

Failure to do so will lead to cancellation of candidature or final selection.

The result is available on the official Commission website.
