Patna: The Nitish Kumar led Bihar government has made significant appointments within the state police service.
Nayyar Hasnain Khan, an IPS officer from the 1996 batch, who was previously awaiting posting, has been appointed as the Additional Director General (ADG) of the Economic Offence Unit (EOU) in Bihar. In addition to his new role, he has been given the additional responsibility of overseeing the ADG-level Special Vigilance Unit.
Meanwhile, Amit Lodha, also an IPS officer from the 1996 batch and currently serving as the Inspector General (IG) of the State Crime Records Bureau (SCRB) in Patna, has been promoted. Lodha has now been appointed as the ADG of the SCRB, with his position being upgraded to the ADG level.
These appointments are part of the state’s continued efforts to strengthen its law enforcement framework, particularly in tackling economic offenses and enhancing the state’s crime data management systems.
