Patna: Bihar is set to implement new, modernized methods for counting domestic and international tourists visiting the state. The decision was taken during a review meeting chaired by Nilesh Ramchandra Devre, Secretary of Tourism, to ensure a comprehensive and scientifically-backed system for accurate tourist data collection.
New Scientific Formula for Tourist Counting
Secretary Devre instructed that a detailed formula be developed after studying the existing tourist tracking systems in neighboring states. The aim is to establish a reliable, data-driven system for recording visitor numbers at Bihar’s key tourist destinations. Officials were directed to prepare a comprehensive plan to capture accurate and credible statistics, facilitating better planning and tourism management.
Enhanced Training and Visitor Experience
