Bihar Launches Mukhyamantri Divyangjan Yojana, Offers Up to ₹10 Lakh Loan and Subsidy for Entrepreneurs

Patna: The Bihar government is inviting applications under the Mukhyamantri Divyangjan Yojana, offering financial assistance of up to ₹10 lakh in loan and subsidy to eligible persons with disabilities (Divyangjan). The scheme is being implemented through the state’s Industries Department to promote entrepreneurship and self-employment.

Financial Support for Divyang Entrepreneurs

Under the scheme, eligible beneficiaries can receive financial assistance of up to ₹10 lakh per project unit, either as a loan or grant (subsidy). The initiative aims to encourage persons with disabilities in Bihar to establish their own businesses and become self-reliant.

The assistance will be provided based on the approved project cost, ensuring support for viable and sustainable business ventures.

Part of Bihar’s ‘Saat Nischay-3’ Employment Push

The scheme has gained momentum following the formation of the new government under Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. As part of the Saat Nischay-3 initiative, the state government is focusing on generating large-scale eployment opportunities.

Bihar has set an ambitious target of creating 1 crore employment opportunities, and several new schemes have been introduced to promote industrial growth and entrepreneurship across the state.

Applications will be processed digitally to ensure transparency and ease of access for beneficiaries.

Objective: Promoting Self-Employment Among Divyang Persons

The primary objective of the Mukhyamantri Divyangjan Yojana is to:

  • Promote entrepreneurship among persons with disabilities
  • Encourage self-employment and financial independence
  • Reduce economic dependency
  • Strengthen inclusive economic growth in Bihar

The Bihar government has urged eligible Divyang persons to apply and take advantage of the scheme to start their own enterprises.
