Patna: A review meeting on vigilance-related matters was held on Wednesday at the Samvad Hall of the Information and Public Relations Department. The meeting was chaired by the Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Vigilance Department, Mr. Arvind Kumar Chaudhary, and attended by Chief Vigilance Officers of all departments.
Review of Online Complaints Sent to Departments
During the meeting, the status of online complaints forwarded by the Vigilance Department to various departments was reviewed. It was found that more than 3,000 complaints have been sent so far. The highest number of complaints pertained to the Education Department, Urban Development and Housing Department, Home Department, Revenue and Land Reforms Department, and Agriculture Department.
The ACS directed departments with pending actions to ensure speedy disposal of complaints. He emphasized that the online vigilance complaint system, introduced last year, has significantly improved tracking and facilitated faster disposal of cases.

Vigilance Investigation Bureau Initiatives
Director General of the Vigilance Investigation Bureau, Mr. Jitendra Singh Gangwar, informed that an online portal has also been launched at the Bureau level to expedite the disposal of vigilance cases. He stated that 122 cases were registered in the past year, out of which 102 were trap-related cases.
Pending Prosecution Sanction Cases Reviewed
The meeting also reviewed the status of pending prosecution sanction cases across departments. A total of 53 cases were found pending, with the highest pendency in the Water Resources Department, Parliamentary Affairs Department, Education Department, Health Department, and General Administration Department. Instructions were issued to accelerate the disposal process.
Monthly Vigilance Review Meetings Directed
The ACS directed that monthly review meetings must be regularly conducted by Chief Vigilance Officers in all departments to monitor progress and ensure timely action.
